All of my Microsoft career I have been working on embedded and mobile technology. I have started on Windows CE team in 1999 and have been part of multiple releases of Windows CE, Windows mobile and Windows Phone. I have started in Networking team then moved to Device Driver technology working closely with our Silicon Vendor and OEM partners in bringing new hardware and software to life. Currently I am on a Device Fundamentals team that works on indentifying and more importantly reaching system wide goals on Windows Phone with regard to memory, battery and overall performance of the system. Lots of fun stuff

Windows Phone 8 makes a big change in comparison with its predecessors Windows Phone7 and various versions of Windows Mobile in a sense that it is using Windows 8 kernel. During this presentation we will look into the process and tools that were deployed by Windows Phone Development team to ensure new Windows Phone 8 meets memory, performance and battery requirements that are needed for mobile devices
