Keeping identities as secure as possible is today more important than ever. Official statistics say that today, each average user has five or more digital identities, both personal and/or work. Having more identities leads to having weak passwords or having a similar or same password on more than one identity. On the other hand, identity attacks tend to be unrecognized as long as possible, so that attacker can use other’s identity and access resources as long as possible. This generates the need to, not just protect identities, but also monitor user’s behavior and resources they access so you can detect identity misuse as early as possible. Azure Active Directory provides several functionalities to protect both privileged and standard user accounts. It also introduces a new model of monitoring as well as elevating privileges. This session discusses current features in Azure AD that can help you protect user identities both on premise and in a cloud.
